Both Alexis and I have lived in Japan and have a deep interest and appreciation for Japanese language, culture, and history. Because of this we decided to focus a little more on medieval Japan than most teachers. As a part of this study we gave students a choice to focus on Buddhism and Shintoism or Samurais and Shoguns. They researched first, then came up with important vocabulary for their subject. With the vocabulary they made Tagul word clouds.
