The last of my students are completing their Google Slide presentations.  As we are doing more independent research, I am finding that my students are having difficulty "digging below the surface" of their research.  They paraphrase basic facts or ideas, but they have trouble distinguishing the importance of these ideas.  They also are not putting the information in a logical sequence (big idea first).  I am meeting with small groups to go over and clarify the information they have written.  

Our next step will be to practice as groups giving oral presentations using their Google Slide presentations.
